In Hungary, Tamiya Ryu can be learned and practiced at the Hirabu Dojo. The Hirabu Dojo was established in 2018. “Dojo” is a Japanese term referring to the place where one can practice the Zen Way.
Throughout our lives, we are enriched by many emotions, situations, and experiences—these are the waves of life. Along our journey, we learn to draw strength from these waves to grow and become better human beings.
The Hirabu Dojo is not merely a place to practice, but also a community where members representing traditional values can move forward on their own personal paths.
A special feature of our dojo is that students can choose between two koryu schools: Muso Shinden Ryu and Tamiya Ryu. After passing the 1st kyu exam, practitioners can explore the history, forms (kata), movement principles, and lineage of both schools during regular practice sessions and dojo days. The final choice of primary focus is made no later than after passing the 1st dan examination.
